Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What are the hardware and software requirements for this program?
Any computer capable of running Internet
Explorer.
Any Windows or Linux* OS with a any HTML web browser should work
fine, however we recommend Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher for best results.
*-Note: On Linux the main menu application will not
run as it requires Internet Explorer. Linux users will need to access the cdrom
and launch the file INDEX.HTM found in the HEADSTONES folder.
What is JAlbum?
JAlbum is a program which allows quick and easy creation
of Html-based photo albums. This software is provided freely by its developer
and is available to anyone at this website
http://www.jalbum.net.
Are you violating or infringing on any copyright laws?
No, there are no copyright laws violated with this
product. This is no different than taking a photo of something and selling it to
a newspaper or magazine or transcribing headstones and putting it into a book
for sale.
How can I obtain headstone photos of a certain cemetery?
We are currently working on cemeteries in and around the
Mecklenburg County area of Virginia. However if there is a cemetery which you
are interested in, please visit our website for more information.
Why do I have to purchase a disc(s) of all the headstones in a cemetery?
This project started as a hobby and to help others not
from this area to obtain headstone photos for their genealogy efforts. We found
it to be more beneficial to just photograph the entire cemetery which no longer
meant frequent trips to the cemetery. In order to continue this project and to
cover costs and expenses this business model was selected as being the best fit.
As our business evolves we may be able to offer different or additional models
in the future. Please refer to our website for more information as we move
forward.
Why do you charge so much for a DVD of headstone photos?
We feel that we are charging a reasonable fee for the
product. Please take into account the time, effort, and expense of producing a
product of this type. We feel that once you start your virtual tours through our
cemetery discs you will agree.
How may I use these Photos?
Can I print out the photos I need?
You may use these photos for your own personal use
within reason. You may print out as many copies as you like. You may email them
to others, but please do not email all or any other huge number of the photos.
Rule of thumb: If you need to email more than 5-10 photos to any one person,
then they should purchase their own disc. You may copy them to your hard disk
and edit, resize, crop etc. them to meet your needs and you may use them in any
software program you wish too.
Can I make copies of the disc?
Yes, you are entitled to make 1 copy of the disc for
backup purposes only.
What should I do if I see an error?
We have made every effort to check for typos,
incorrect information, and other errors. However in the event you find something
that you know not to be correct and can provide verification then please contact
us via the information above.
