Getting Started on EBAY
This page will walk you through, in
easy-to-follow steps, the following actions:
1. Create an Account
2. Update account to Seller Status
3. Opening a Store
Step 1: Click here to go to www.ebay.com. (this will open in a new window).
Step 2: Click "Register".
Step 3: Enter your
personal information (name, address, phone number, date of birth, and email
address).

For email address, be sure to use one that you can check right away. If you use
a
web-based address such as a Yahoo or Hotmail account, then you will have to
place a valid credit
or debit card on file to verify your identity. The card will not be charged and
is only for
identification verification. To avoid this, then use an email address from your
ISP or company.]
Step 4: Read the User Agreement and Privacy Policy,
click the "I Agree" check box, and then click the "Continue"
button.
Step 5: Choose your
UserId and Password.
Step 6: Choose a Secret Question & Answer,
and Click the "Continue" button.
Step 7: Now check your email account you
used in Step 3, for a message from Ebay that has instructions to confirm your
registration. If you do not receive an email (may take a few minutes and check
Junk or Spam Mail folders)

Step 8: Open the registration email and
click the link. A confirmation message will be displayed.
If you do this and nothing happens, try the following:
* Find the confirmation code near the bottom of the email message
* Enter the confirmation code in the specified box (if it is not entered for
you)
* If the email address is not already displayed, then enter the email address
you registered with,
and then click the "Continue" button.
Step 9: Now you are ready to login and bid
on auctions.
